Founded in 1986 by Dr. Lucio C. Tan in honor of his late father Tan Yan Kee, TYKFI aims to uplift the lives of Filipinos through sustainable programs in education, culture and sports, research, health and social welfare, and manpower development.
Tan’s support to the education sector stems from his conviction that learning is a powerful equalizer that can lift individuals out of poverty and foster social and economic growth. He believes that investing in quality education helps create a brighter future for the country and its citizens.
Founded in 1946, UE is a private academic institution that once held the record for having the largest student enrollment in Asia. – Rappler.com
