ILOILO CITY, Philippines – Senatorial aspirants Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino make their way to Iloilo City to reawaken the “pink” vote in the province during their volunteers’ campaign kickoff rally here on Thursday, March 6.
Former vice president Leni Robredo and Senator Risa Hontiveros are expected to attend the event, together with former Senate president Franklin Drilon, who hails from Iloilo, to boost the comeback chances of the two former senators.
In the 2022 polls, Iloilo led Western Visayas as the Robredo-Pangilinan tandem edged out UniTeam headliners Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte in the province. Robredo also won over Marcos in Iloilo City, garnering 149,256 votes over Marcos who got 85,117 votes.
