MANILA, Philippines – The Music School of Ryan Cayabyab (TMSRC) has announced a third upcoming rerun of the musical theater piece, St. Michael Mass, which transforms Mass hymns into timely commentary on contemporary Filipino issues.

The musical production will be staged on March 22 and 23 at 5 pm at the Main Hall of the Music School of Ryan Cayabyab in Robinsons Galleria, Quezon City.

TMSRC said tickets are available via Ticket2Me.

St. Michael Mass is composed and written by multi-awarded National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab. Direction and script are provided by Emmy Cayabyab, dramaturgy by Marvin Olaes, choreography by Stephen Viñas, lighting by Gabo Tolentino, and voiced by TMSRC’s Vocal Ensemble.

The collaborative performance results in a singular sound that has continued to echo since its first run in 2020. After a successful second run in 2023 and now going on its third run, the upcoming rendition of the musical theater piece responds to the same social issues felt and experienced by Filipinos from the piece’s first conception, TMSRC said. – with reports from Bea Gatmaytan/Rappler.com
