MANILA, Philippines – Maggie Wilson and her estranged husband, Victor Consunji, have been involved in a feud that has been well-documented and shared publicly over the past few years.
The pair got married in 2010, and in 2012, welcomed their only son together: Connor. They later split up amicably in 2021, but more developments — both legal and personal — only unfolded from there.
Perhaps most notably, in September 2023, Wilson revealed that online trolls were used to stage a “smear campaign” against her and her company, Acasa Manila. This is just one of the parts of their loaded legal battle, which has persisted into 2025. Here’s a rundown of it all:
September 2021: Wilson and Consunji announce their split
On September 27, 2021, Wilson announced via Instagram that she and Consunji had decided to go their separate ways. In her statement, she emphasized that there is “no animosity” between her and her now-estranged husband.
“We will always be family as we share our beautiful son, Connor, together. We have remained really good friends and partners and will continue to do so. Both of us want nothing more than for each other to be happy. We’d like to ask for your support, kindness, understanding, love and support as we navigate this new chapter in our lives,” Wilson wrote.
December 2021: Wilson says she is denied time with Connor on Christmas
Just three months after Wilson announced her amicable separation from Consunji, she took to Instagram anew on December 26, 2021, to share that she was barred from seeing her son, Connor, on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
“It’s been 48 hours, I didn’t get to open presents with him or even have a meal with him. This kind of situation sadly happens in ‘certain’ families and as is seen as ‘normal,'” Wilson said.
In the caption of the same post, she went on to seemingly air her frustrations toward Consunji, saying that the “strong” reasons why she left him will be revealed in time.
“I have been put through so much over the last 3 months and more so the last few years. Judge me all you want. If you think you know, you haven’t seen anything yet. I have an entire vault just filled with receipts,” she added.
March 2022: Wilson says she is denied photos from Connor’s birthday
On March 2, 2022, on her Instagram stories, Wilson posted a screenshot of her online conversation with the photographers who documented Connor’s 10th birthday party. She said that while the photography studio initially promised to send her the full set of photos, they later apologized and admitted that they were instructed by a specific person to not send Wilson the photos.
Wilson, however, redacted the person’s name. The photographer then told Wilson to request copies of the photos from another person whose name was also redacted.
“You might think everything is nice and peachy on the outside but this is what I have to deal with and have been dealing with on the inside for far too long now. Control,” Maggie wrote in the succeeding Instagram story.
July 2022: Consunji sues Wilson for adultery, beauty queen denies allegations
In July 2022, Consunji sued Wilson for adultery, claiming that she had sexual relations with her business partner Tim Connor multiple times from 2021 to 2022. Consunji also alleged that his estranged wife and Connor went to Barcelona together without him while his Schengen visa was still being processed.
Wilson, however, was quick to refute her estranged husband’s claims, posting on her Instagram stories a video of three of them together at a dining establishment Barcelona, adding that this was the only time Connor was with her.
July 2022: Wilson says Consunji’s staff ‘illegally’ entered her home
Via Instagram stories on July 15, 2022, Wilson said that members of the Victor Consunji Development Corporation (VCDC), along with vice president Bernie Mendoza, “illegally entered” her home without a notice, warrant, or proper paperwork.
“They stated that the property is owned by DMCI despite me explaining over the phone on multiple occasions that there is a contract that exists on the property signed by Bernie Mendoza himself,” Maggie said, adding that they took videos of her and her family’s personal belongings.
On July 20, Wilson was granted a 72-hour temporary restraining order against VCDC, Consunji, and Mendoza.
Wilson said that she was not home at the time of the incident, but her household staff, sister, and five-year-old cousin who were present were “subject to harassment and intimidation.” She added that after asking them if she was home, they entered her house with the barangay with batons in hand.
August 2022: Wilson receives motion for issuance of a gag order and arrest warrant, accuses Consunji of having an affair
On August 7, 2022, Wilson shared on her Instagram stories that she received a motion for the issuance of a gag order several days prior, as well as a warrant for her arrest. She also accused Consunji of having an affair.
“In 2019, a woman (one of) despite her being married at the time, I found was taking ‘trips’ and checking in to various hotels with him, without my knowledge. She has recently been posting in our ‘conjugal’ home, living her best life,” she wrote, questioning why she was the one being accused of adultery.
Wilson said that while she has attempted to settle past issues privately and amicably, they have all “fallen on deaf ears,” even leading to the filing of legal cases against her.
February 2023: Wilson lambasts authorities who showed up to her home
On February 7, 2023, Wilson alleged on her Instagram stories that Taguig City authorities showed up to her home late in the evening to arrest her, and shared CCTV footage of the group outside her house. Wilson, however, was out of the country at that time, and it was her sister who answered the door.
“If you are going to come to my house in Manila at 10pm at night, make sure that before you read out the persons rights that you are arresting the correct person. You then came back again an hour later. This time, there were more of you (about 30). You threatened to break down the door and arrest my sister (she showed I.D.), staff and friend if they weren’t let in,” she wrote.
She also said that one of them claimed to be a lawyer of the complainant, but refused to identify himself when asked.
The authorities said they had a search warrant, but when asked to provide it, could not show anything.
February 2023: Consunji accused Wilson of harassment and bullying
Just days later, on February 10, 2023, Consunji announced that he would be taking legal action against his ex-wife “in light of recent events and increased malicious online attacks,” pointing at Wilson’s constant social media posts about their feud, which he said included her disruption of their son and his new partner — Rachel Carrasco’s — peace.
“While previously I would have agreed to an amicable separation and settlement, Ms. Wilson’s behavior to deliberately disrupt my son’s peace and to provoke, threaten, and subject me, Ms. Carrasco, or the people around us to a trial by publicity will fail to yield her any financial or personal gain,” he said in his statement.
Wilson responded to his statement days later via Instagram stories, questioning the “amicable” nature of the settlement he was referring to.
“Isn’t it strange that complainants have published a statement but have deliberately failed to mention that they have received full cooperation from the defendant’s legal team and that the purported cases are at the submission stage for redetermination by the Department of Justice?” she wrote.
September 2023: Wilson reveals online trolls spearheaded ‘smear campaign’ against her
On September 26, 2023, Wilson revealed on Instagram that some influencers were paid to lead a smear campaign against her and her company, Acasa Manila.
The model shared a screenshot of a compilation of videos attacking her; they contained influencers who, Wilson said, were instructed to create content against her. Multiple Instagram stories show a group chat containing conversations between the paid influencers, who were given a script to follow in the videos they would make about her.
She alleged that Consunji and his new partner, Carrasco, were behind the whole campaign. The influencers were allegedly paid P8,000, and were promised an extra P2,000 if they could make a video responding to the comments.
September 2023: Wilson explains cases filed against her
On September 28, 2023, Wilson posted a statement explaining that the only cases against her and her company were filed by Consunji, Carrasco, and Kelly Parreño, who is Carrasco’s business partner. The case filed by Parreño was dismissed.
“The first [case] was filed in June of 2022. There are [nine] cases now. Since then, Consunji and Carrasco have welcomed a daughter born in February 2023,” Wilson wrote.
She also said that there have been reports about alleged grand estafa cases being filed against her. She denied these. She then said that she has repeatedly attempted to reach out to Consunji and Carrasco to co-parent in a civil manner, but they have never responded to her.
“Although the last 15 months have been less than ideal, the silver lining to this is that my situation has opened up a conversation on how toxic our culture and society are. Everything from troll farms to misogyny to fake news is coming out in the wash,” Wilson added.
October 2023: Wilson’s mother is arrested
On October 11, 2023, Wilson said that authorities arrested her mother, who is a senior citizen, for allegedly stealing a car. Wilson questioned the arrest, stating that her mother cannot drive and does not possess a driver’s license either.
“My mother has looked after our son and you through thick and thin. You’ve hit a new low,” Wilson wrote, appearing to be addressing her estranged husband.
May 2024: Wilson says protection order keeps her from speaking to son Connor
On May 12, 2024, Wilson revealed that a protection order has been issued against her, which prohibits her from interacting with her son, Connor, until he is an adult. She said it is the reason why he has been appearing less and less on her social media, as she has also been barred from sharing videos and photos of him online.
“It’s been almost two years since I last held him and 494 days since we last spoke. I’ve missed two birthdays, two Christmas, two New Year’s celebrations and countless milestones,” she wrote on Instagram.
January 2025: Wilson says that the court has upheld her rights to communicate with Connor
On January 18, Wilson shared that she received a decision from the court denying the protection order Consunji filed against her for their son, Connor. The protection order cites Wilson being a threat to Connor’s “mental and physical well-being.”
She also revealed that Marc Nelson, her former co-host for a TV show, testified against her claiming that Connor suffered anxiety, emotional stress, and annoyance because of Wilson. She shared that this led Connor to be forced to appear in court at just 12 years old.
The court, however, found that there was no evidence that Wilson caused psychological harm to her son, ultimately lifting the protection order that initially blocked her from communicating with Connor. – Rappler.com
