The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific has announced the roster of APAC originals coming to Disney+ in late 2024, and 2025 to 2026. These shows, created by the streaming platform, feature stories from the APAC region.
There will be a total of 18 shows to look out for. Here’s a list of the Korean and Japanese shows you’ll be able to catch on Disney+ soon:
Korea
The Murky Stream
This upcoming historical drama is a collaboration between director Choo Chang-min — best known for the 2012 period drama film Masquerade — and writer Cheon Sung-il, who is credited for the zombie K-drama All of Us Are Dead. It will star Rowoon, Shin Ye-eun, Park Seo-ham, and Park Ji-hwan.
The Manipulated
This action drama follows Taejung, an ordinary man who was wrongfully imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. As Taejung discovers that a mysterious figure named Yohan was behind everything, he begins plotting his revenge. This series stars Ji Chang-wook, Do Kyung-soo, Lee Kwang-soo, and Jo Yoon-su.
Lightshop Keeper
Premiering on December 4, this supernatural series follows six strangers trapped in a void between life and death, with no recollection of how they ended up there in the first place. Lightshop Keeper explores the intersections of the living and the dead as the afterlife is mysteriously linked to a store selling light.

The series stars Ju Ji-hoon, Park Bo-young, Kim Seol-hyun, Bae Seong-woo, Um Tae-goo, Lee Jung-eun, Kim Min-ha, Park Hyuk-kwon, Shin Eun-soo, Kim Sun-hoa, and Kim Ki-hae.
Unmasked
Unmasked follows a team of seasoned investigative journalists who are stumped as they attempt to solve a 20-year-old case involving a famous actor who mysteriously went missing. It stars Kim Hye-soo, Jung Sung-il, and Joo Jong-hyuk.
Hyper Knife
Coming in March 2025, this medical crime thriller series features Seok, a tortured neurosurgeon who is cast aside by her mentor. As Seok continues to do back-alley operations, her mentor suddenly comes back into her life.
This series will star Park Eun-bin and Sul Kyung-gu.
Knock–Off
This drama follows a broke man who resorts to the shady business of counterfeiting goods to rebuild his life. Meanwhile, his former lover becomes a police officer focused on cracking down counterfeit goods. This series stars Kim Soo-hyun and Jo Bo-ah.
Nine Puzzles
This mystery thriller centers on a criminal profiler — the sole witness to an unresolved case from a decade ago — and a detective who suspects her to be involved in the case. This series stars Kim Da-mi and Son Suk-ku.
Low Life
Low Life tells the story of a fisherman who finds a treasure that has been hidden beneath the ocean for generations. After taking a piece of it for himself, rumors soon spread about the treasure. Desperate to escape his depressing life, the fisherman partners with his uncle to claim the treasure before others find it. This series stars Ryu Seung-ryong, Yang Se-jong, and Lim Soo-jung.
Tempest
This show follows an internal special agent and brilliant career diplomat teaming up to find the truth behind an attack that jeopardizes the future stability of the Korean Peninsula. Tempest stars Jun Ji-hyun (Gianna), Gang Dong-won, John Cho, Michael Gaston, Spencer Garrett, Jacob Bertrand, Alicia Hannah Kim, and Christopher Gorham.
Made In Korea
This series is set in the 1970s where one is driven by an insatiable hunger for wealth and power, and the other a steadfast prosecutor determined to uphold justice. Their constant conflict escalates when they become entangled in a key event that will alter their lives. This drama casts Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung.
Japan
Medalist
Medalist is an animated series that follows a figure skating coach Tsukasa, who is grappling with the shadows of his past failures. He then dedicates himself to transforming his newest student into a championship medalist.
Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Season 2
Set to premiere in April 2025, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! season two is the continuation of the epic battle between the mighty Dragon Keepers and the Villainous Army of Evil.
WANDANCE
This upcoming anime series follows a shy, reserved boy who makes a life-changing decision in hopes of winning the heart of a free-spirited girl.
BULLET/BULLET
Directed by Jujutsu Kaisen director Sung-hoo Park, the animated series BULLET/BULLET features a crew of skilled thieves who land in deep trouble after their latest heist takes an unexpected turn.
Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation
This upcoming anime series, based on the popular game and manga Twisted Wonderland, is set in the esteemed Night Raven College, a magical academy. Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation is slated for a 2025 premiere.
CAT’S EYE
Based on an original manga series, this anime follows three sisters — Hitomi, Rui, and Ai — who run a café by day while secretly working as art thieves by night. Japanese pop sensation Ado will be debuting a new version of the popular CAT’S EYE theme song for this series.
Gannibal Season 2
In this season, police officer Daigo returns once again to the world of Kuge Village, a mysterious mountain village that harbors horrors of its own. Gannibal season two will premiere on Disney+ on March 19, 2025.
Traveling With Snow Man (working title)
This reality series, set to debut in 2025, features members of the J-Pop idol band Snow Man as they take on a fun, travel-related adventure.
